Patterson Film

Ok, so it's good to occasionally step back and review just what it is that originally sparks our interest or plants a seed of fascination. For me with this whole Bigfoot thing, it has to have been either the stories my father would tell us, or the footage shot by Rodger Patterson in 1967.

Here is an interesting piece of animation using the original footage. It has been stabilized so that the camera shakey-ness has been removed and we can get a clearer view of just what it is that ambles across the river.

Patterson/Gimlin Film, Bluff Creek, California - 1967
Image stabilization by M.K. Davis - 2011

I'll leave it up to the viewer to decide just what the heck that thing is.

If you click on the video it will open up a new window and show you the images at a larger size. It's pretty cool.
